An Employment permit is issued to a foreigner who enters the country to take up employment for any period exceeding six (06) months. It can be extended to a maximum of 10 years.
Note: All applicants should remain outside Zambia until the permit has been approved.
REQUIREMENTS FOR ISSUANCE
1. Covering
letter from employer addressed to the Director General of Immigration;
2. Employment
contract or Letter of offer;
3. Police
clearance from country of residence;
4. Curriculum
Vitae;
5. Certified
copy of qualifications (academic, professional);
6. Certified
copy of valid passport (bio data & last endorsement stamp for Zambia);
7. Copy
of succession plan;
8. Copy
of the PACRA Certificate of Incorporation; and
9. Department of Immigration Prescribed Fees: check here
REQUIREMENTS FOR RENEWAL/ EXTENSION
1. Cover
letter to the Director General of Immigration from employer on company
letterhead;
2. Extended
(New) contract;
3. Original
Permit;
4. Certified
copy of valid passport (bio data & last endorsement stamp for Zambia); and
5. Department of Immigration Prescribed Fees: check here.
REQUIREMENTS FOR VARIATION BY ADDITION OF CHILDREN AND/OR SPOUSE
1. Cover
letter to the Director General of Immigration from the applicant;
2. Original
Permit;
3. Certified
copies of marriage/birth certificate/s (as appropriate);
4. Certified
copy of valid passport (bio data & last endorsement stamp for Zambia); and
5. Department of Immigration Prescribed Fees: check here.
REQUIREMENTS FOR VARIATION BY CHANGE OF OCCUPATION
1. Cover
letter to the Director General of Immigration from employer;
2. Letter
of appointment for new occupation;
3. Original
Permit;
4. Certified
copies of professional certificates; and
5. Department of Immigration Prescribed Fees: check here.
CONSULTANCY FEES
The
consultancy fees are only indicative and will vary depending on each case. Where
all the requirements out lined in 5 above are in place. Otherwise, each case
will be dealt with, individually depending on what work needs to be done on it.
